Luc Walpoth is a Swiss film director working both in Europe and the USA. His short films, documentaries, and commercials have been nominated and awarded at major festivals like Clermont-Ferrand, Palm Springs, Locarno, Sitges and many more. Over the years, Luc has developed projects supported by renowned institutions like Tribeca Institute, Californian Art Concil, UCLA TFT school, Torino FilmLab, NisiMasa, Swissfilms an enjoyed broadcasts all around the world.

Always balancing emotion and tension throughout his highly visual storytelling, Luc’s goal is to entertain the audience with relevant human drama. REPLIKA, his science-fiction short drama about artificial inteligence, won fifteen international awards and got over 40 nominations. The feature version is currently in development and has the attention of major players in the US industry.

His first feature film DEAD END is a thriller starring Danay Garcia (Fear of the walking dead, Prison Break,…), Michael Drayer (Mr. Robot, Sneaky Pete, …) Taja V. Simpson (The Oval, Boo2,…) is currently in post-production.

Luc is in pre-production on the horror-thriller THE ROMANIAN JOB and the social drama PERIPHERIC LOVE. He is, also, attached as a director on the science-fiction TV series LE SIGNAL, produced by Elefant Films and Bellota Films and distributed by RTS (Swiss National Television).

Luc lives in Los Angeles. He speaks four languages fluently, French, German, Italian, and English.
